Solace

The Solace Association offers support for those coping with the death of their husband, wife or partner.  Solace meetings and social functions provide a caring environment where members are able to express their thoughts and feelings in the company of others who understand what they are experiencing.  It fills an important role in helping people understand that the feelings they experience are normal.  For many widowed people, Solace has provided a major stepping stone in the process of coming to terms with life's most challenging loss and in developing the confidence to reinvest in life. Solace meetings are held twice each month at Garden City (contact Kathy on 3341 4643), Chermside (contact Charles on 3263 9121) and the Gold Coast (contact Betty on 5580 7034).
