Emerald Show Society

The Emerald Show Society is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to bringing the Central Highlands community together through agriculture, education, entertainment and community events.

Established in 1913, the Society coordinates the annual Emerald Show while also delivering activities, educational initiatives and community engagement opportunities throughout the year. Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds contribute their time, skills and experience to help preserve agricultural traditions, support local talent and create opportunities for community participation.

Our activities include:

• Planning and delivering the annual Emerald Show
• Conducting agricultural, arts, craft, livestock and educational competitions
• Delivering school education and agricultural awareness programs
• Supporting youth leadership through Next Generation programs
• Providing volunteer opportunities across event planning, administration, hospitality, grounds, competitions and governance
• Working with local schools, businesses, community groups and sponsors to strengthen community connections

We welcome people from all backgrounds who are interested in volunteering, becoming a member or contributing to community events. Whether you have specialist skills, practical experience or simply want to give back to your community, there are opportunities to get involved throughout the year.
