About Us
The Neighbourhood Hub's Good Beginnings Home Based Family Support Program utilises the services of a program coordinator and trained volunteers to offer support, friendship and practical assistance to families in challenging situations in their own homes. Families who access this program are experiencing challenges such as social isolation, relationship breakdown, lack of parenting skills and mental health concerns, They are provided practical and emotional support as well as advocacy, information and referral.
This free program covers the Mackay urban area — south to Bakers Creek, west to Pioneer Valley and north to Shoal Point and is available via organisational or self referral.
To make a referral the following criteria must be met:
-

-
The family would benefit from access to family support intervention and/or referral to support services
-
The child is not currently in need of ongoing Child Safety intervention
