General Support Services & Counselling
The Bribie Island Neighbourhood Centre is a community meeting place open from Monday to Thursday 9am to 3pm. We aim to build a fair and caring community by providing the following services free of charge, with the assistance of our team of highly skilled,experienced professional workers and our cheerful, caring Volunteers: Information advice and referral service; Parenting programs (at request); Personal development workshops (at request); *Smart Recovery (from addictions) Group, Community development worker; and Family support service - free counselling for families with children 17 and under, Emergency Relief Service, Debt Relief Service (with a professional registered Financial counsellor), Neighbourhood Harvest (free food distribution once a week), Bargain Shop fundraiser- on site, Family Relationships Counselling Service - by appointment; resource Library, Meeting rooms available for community groups and host for outreaching services such as Centrelink Community Engagement Officer, Community Legal services and Employment Services.
