About Us
This is an out and back course along the picturesque North Pine River starting from Sweeney Reserve and heading in a westerly direction. This course is mostly flat with two slight rises in elevation within the first kilometre. The 2.5km turning point is approximately 200m past the Affleck Avenue turning loop at the base of the Chester Street steps. Facilities Car parking in Sweeney Reserve, as well as in Old Dayboro Road near the Petrie Police Station and adjoining streets. Undercover parking is available at the Woolworths carpark, accessible from Dayboro Road Petrie, a short walk away. Getting There Location of startThe run starts from Sweeney Reserve. Getting there by public transportPetrie Train Station is located approximately 900m from the start line. From Station Street, head south down Anzac Avenue. At the roundabout, take the Dayboro Road exit and turn left into River Street. Turn left into Old Dayboro Road and into Sweeney Reserve. Getting there on footTake the Dayboro Road exit at the Anzac Avenue roundabout in Petrie. Turn left into River Street and then left into Old Dayboro Road.
