jobactive – Jobseeker Centre

Specialised job services for young people aged to 30 years

This jobactive program is based at the Jobseeker Centre in Capalaba. The jobactive program provides services for eligible job seekers as part of an Australian Government initiative to connect job seekers with employers. 

Assessment for eligibility is performed by the Department of Human Services (Aus Govt.).
jobactive services are generally available to those receiving income support payments such as Newstart Allowance, Youth Allowance (other), or Parenting Payment, and to those who have mutual obligation requirements. 

As part of this service, jobactive providers can help with the following services at no cost: 

• writing a resume
• looking for work
• preparing for interviews
• gaining skills that local employers need
• finding and keep a job

For employers, jobactive can find job-ready candidates, advertise vacant positions to thousands of applicants at no cost, and host an internship to trial a young person in your business.
