Multicultural Support Worker - Cotton Tree

The Multicultural Support Worker works with people from culturally diverse backgrounds in the whole of the Sunshine Coast area and provides the following: - information, referral and short-term counselling to individuals and families from non-English speaking backgrounds; - assistance to new communities from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds to develop, identify and respond to their needs; - organisation of access to cross-cultural training for mainstream service providers; - liaison with local, state and national peak bodies and agencies to ensure their practices and policies are inclusive for people from non-English speaking backgrounds.
