About Us
The Rosalie Shire Historical Society Inc. meets at 1pm each 3rd Saturday of every month and is committed to preserving and maintaining the history of the former Rosalie Shire area and the collected memories of its residents.
The Museum contains numerous displays and items of the rural lifestyle of the local districts and towns as well as many family histories, newspaper clippings and photos of yesteryear in the Shire. The Museum is open from 10 am - 4 pm each 3rd Saturday of the month excluding December and January or by appointment - please phone the secretary to arrange times. Disabled access is available to most areas and we welcome groups interested in seeing the heritage of the area and sharing their knowledge and photos with us.
Each year on the first Saturday in November, the Society celebrates the blooming streets with Jacaranda Day - a community festival celebrating the heritage of the town.
