Youth Employment & Training Services
About Us
At Multicultural Australia, we are always striving to improve employment outcomes for people from refugee and migrant backgrounds. We hold Youth Employment Forums to provide opportunities for young people between 15 and 25 years to come along, meet and network with employers and find pathways to employment. We’ve had major employers including Woolworths, Bunnings and All Purpose Transport attend the forum leading to young people landing jobs.
Multicultural Australia also recognises that people working with refugees need knowledge and skills distinct from and additional to that needed for other client groups. There are now three new units including Working with Youth Refugees (CHCYTH001: Engage Respectfully with Young People), which is intended for anyone whose work brings them into contact with young refugees.
