About Us

We are the Bowen Branch in the Pioneer Division of the Queensland Country Women's Association. We are a group of women from all ages that help and support our local community, by means of fundraising etc.

Everything we do is about empowering and inspiring women through friendship, education, connection and advocacy.

Our advocacy is indispensable and starts at branch level with issues raised forming the basis of where the QCWA lobbies governments – Local, State and Federal – for improvements and ultimately change.

Interest in education is important to the QCWA; we are very proud of the QCWA’s Country Kitchen’s program, now in its fifth year. The QCWA also offers a range of Student Bursaries primarily to assist tertiary students with the cost of academic study. Many branches focus on knowledge and skills sharing and workshops across a raft of interests.
