Performing Arts & Music

About Us

We're a non-auditioned choir with a membership of around 40 singers, men and women. Our 2 hour weekly rehearsals begin at 7.30pm each Wednesday during school terms .  We rehearse at St Peter's Church Hall,             1 Watling Place, Weston, A.C.T.

We're a very friendly group  of people who have fun at practices, social events and performances. We welcome anyone who loves singing to come along and experience our diverse repertoire.  Our main aim is to sing well enough to perform in public. This means we commit to getting to rehearsals regularly, learning our parts, and turning up at our public performances.

We offer "try-before-you-buy".  All you need to do is turn up to any rehearsal and we'll team you up with another member who'll show you the ropes and introduce you to others.

We sing a varied repertoire of gospel, folk, African and other songs, usually in four-part harmony (soprano, alto, tenor, bass). Most of our music is arranged by our choir directors and the musical team to suit the voices in the choir. We perform in many settings, from retirement villages to music festivals and charity concerts. In 2022 we have plans to perform at Yarralumla Arts and Crafts festival, and the annual Carols Under the Stars at the Pearce Shops.
