About Us

The Oakey Pony Club is situated on the Darling Downs Region, 150km west of Brisbane and 20km west from Toowoomba in Queensland. The Oakey Pony Club is part of the Zone 4 Region and is affiliated with the Pony Club Association of Queensland (PCAQ). The Oakey Pony Club was founded in 1974 and transformed what used to be a dog race track into what it is today.


The Oakey Pony Club is renowned for the versatility of the riders, competing reguarly and successfully in Sporting, Campdrafting, Mounted Games, Dressage, Showjumping, Eventing, Team Penning and plenty more. Oakey riders that qualify get the chance to compete at Zone, State, National and even at times International level.


The Oakey Pony Club colours are Royal Purple and Gold and consist of a white long sleeve shirt, tie, jumper and vest, cream/beige jodhpurs/moleskins, black or brown boots and an approved helmet. At Zone Competitions and QLD State Championship events, Oakey Pony Club competes in the Zone 4 uniform which consists of Green and Gold colours.
