About Us
The Sex Worker Outreach Program (SWOP) ACT provides peer-led education, drop-in, outreach and advocacy for sex workers.
We are a sex worker-led program that aims to prevent HIV and other STIs among Canberra’s sex worker community and to empower and support the rights of sex workers.
SWOP ACT delivers education to encourage the wider community to see sex work as work and ensure that sex workers are treated respectfully in and outside their safe workplaces.
Services
We provide a free outreach service for all sex workers in the ACT to ensure you:
- are empowered to make informed decisions about safer sex, personal safety practices, laws and regulations
- have access to information about your health and rights.
SWOP Drop-in is a regular gathering exclusively for sex workers. At Drop-in, you can share information, connect with other sex workers and build valuable networks in a safe and confidential space.
Get in touch to arrange a confidential chat with a SWOP staff member for sex work-related information, support, referrals and advocacy. Visit the SWOP ACT webpage, email [email protected] or SMS the SWOP mobile on 0427 475 671.
