The state electorate of Albert Park has an approximate area of 22 km².

It is comprised of the suburbs of Albert Park, Middle Park, Port Melbourne, South Melbourne, South Wharf, Southbank and St Kilda West plus parts of Docklands, Melbourne and St Kilda.

It is comprised of parts of the councils of Melbourne City and Port Phillip City.

It is surrounded by the state electorates of Brighton, Caulfield, Melbourne, Prahran and Williamstown.

It is within the federal electorate of Melbourne Ports.
